Our mid-sized black Sumi Hobnail iron teapot is made by Iwachu in Japan and features a coal black exterior beautifully decorated with hundreds of small hobnails and a ring of hobnails on the lid. The remaining body of this teapot has a wonderfully organic citrus peel texture.


This Tetsubin style iron teapot includes a fitted fine mesh tea strainer basket and a porcelain enamel lined interior. Care instructions will be included with every Japanese iron teapot.
