A stunning and fabulous modern cast iron teapot that emphasizes simple elegance in design. The very lightly textured charcoal black surface is decorated with a simple, raised band around the middle and a shape reminiscent of a 'houju' or sacred gem. Houjus are sacred objects believed to repel evil and fulfill wishes.


This cast iron Tetsubin style teapot includes a fitted fine mesh tea strainer basket and a porcelain enamel lined interior. Care instructions will be included with every Japanese Tetsubin teapot.
