Kakumei - Japanese Black Hailstone Teapot (Porcelain Lined)

Make a major tea statement with this incredible, and very large, porcelain lined iron teapot from Japan. Over a thousand raised hailstones are arranged in a triangular pattern around the upper half of the exterior and also ring the outer edge of the lid that is topped with a closed flower bud for a knob. The handle is given an industrial design flair with a rivet on each side and a small iron bar that affixes the handle to the teapot. At 60 ounces, this is the largest capacity iron teapot and Tetsubin we have ever offered at Sensational Teas. It is magnificent.
7 1/8" diameter, 8 1/8" diameter w/ spout, 5" tall with lid but not including handle, 9 1/4" tall w/ handle (*handle is permanently upright*). This Tetsubin style teapot weighs 4.5 pounds when empty.
This iron teapot does have an enamel interior, but does not include a strainer basket. We do not recommend you use this teapot to boil water. Care instructions will be included with every Japanese Tetsubin style teapot.
