Maru Hobnail -
58 ounce capacity
This wonderfully antiqued, artisan Tetsubin kettle is heavily hobnailed and topped with a prominent pine cone on the lid. A deep, dark cocoa brown covers the exterior emphasizing the texture and a small touch of brown brings extra character to the black, scrollwork handle (handle does not fold down).
A masterful design.
Traditional Japanese Tetsubin water kettles, including our Maru Hobnail, do not have porcelain linings or mesh strainer baskets. As you use your Tetsubin, over time a natural residue coating will form to add additional protection to the interior of your cast iron tea kettle. The interior has been initially seasoned and polished. It is important your Tetsubin is allowed to fully air dry after each use. The Maru Hobnail is marked by the artist under the spout.
