Their artistic beauty & unparalleled contribution to the art of tea enjoyment is world famous. Each teapot is carefully crafted & stamped with the artist's chop mark then strategically fired to create a vessel that can withstand dramatic changes in temperature. Tiny air pockets are also created that improve heat retention for more complete infusions. The unglazed, porous nature allows tea flavors to be absorbed which enhances each subsequent pot of tea & adds a beautiful patina to the exterior. Each teapot is unique & no two are identical. |

"Bamboo Box" - 19 ounces (~4 cups) Ms. Feng Yao Feng, an YiXing Assistant Craft Master, began creating teapots at the age of 16 and went on to study with the great Master Li Chang Hong. Here she has crafted this original square bamboo teapot design of larger than average size and of extra high quality. The bamboo motif edges all four corners with the terminals rising from the top for added interest and down on the bottom to form the feet. A bamboo twist serves as the knob and the bamboo theme continues as it forms the spout and comfortable handle. All remaining surfaces are velvety smooth and free of design. This teapot comes with an authenticity certificate. $98.00 Add to cart! |

Hands down, this is one of the most amazing, fabulous YiXing designs...EVER! Ms. Yin Qifen chose a fairly traditional subject of dragons, but created a completely unique and very fun teapot. The dark zisha clay is organically dynamic and the perfect foundation for a magnificent dragon as he curls around the teapot forming both the handle and the spout with a tiny little dragon perching on the lid. The details are extra fine and lend to the dignity of the overall design. The artist's chop marks appear on the base and inside the lid. The teapot will actually hold a bit more than the declared 18 ounce capacity, but water may spill from the extra generous spout so I recommend filling to about 3/4" from the top.
