Jason Chen's "TeaMaster" From the grower of our highest quality, and most popular, teas comes this amazing invention that revolutionizes modern tea enjoyment. Mr. Chen envisioned a way of brewing high quality tea leaves in the gong fu style with less complication, but without compromising flavor. For three years, he crafted teapot after teapot until, finally, he had exactly what he wanted. It is now patented in the U.S. and China and won 2nd place at the NASFT (Nat'l Assoc. for the Specialty Foods Trade) Awards in New York. Following the traditional gong fu style of one pot, one pitcher and one strainer, brewing has just gotten a lot easier. The secret is the porcelain filter which has a tiny hole covered by fine steel mesh to prevent clogging. Preheat the filter by rinsing with warm water, place the filter on top of the pitcher, spoon your leaves into the filter and fill with water. In approximately two minutes your tea is ready. This set makes it very easy to reinfuse your leaves over and over. Some teas, especially oolongs, will be light on the first infusion, but that is remedied by rinsing the leaves in hot water and allowing them to rest a moment before brewing.
